Nobody can tell a story and call a ball game like Vinnie.

He was always amazing in how he could talk about American history, players’ quirky personalities, how ball clubs were formed, and by who. And, he still called the game in between the stories, balls and strikes, the home runs, double plays, and the perfect game. A master story teller, a man of integrity on and off the field, a man millions upon millions loved, adored, believed, and trusted.

Go watch some Social Media videos of Vinnie in the locker room, the dugout, a little league baseball field named after him in the Central farmlands in California, and in the White House getting the Citizen Medal draped over by President Obama. What do you see? What do you hear? How do you feel?

Vinnie was humble, he was genuinely kind to all.

He made time without complaint. He offered encouragement to all—even to the opposing teams—and was a true sportsman who never rooted for any side. 67 years of working without any adverse or negative words written or said about him. What a record! Here are a few things the baseball poet laureate said that we can also say in any human interaction; marriage, parenting, owning our business, and encouraging anybody that crosses our path in life (Maybe our new client prospects).

“Good is not good when Better is expected.”
“As long as you live, keep smiling because it brightens everybody's day.” ~ Vin Scully (RIP)
